Carson Health's Outpatient Therapy Center features comprehensive care close to home with seven new beds, a chemotherapy center, infusion therapy, transfusion therapy, and other outpatient therapy.
The Center is under the leadership of Carson Health’s Director of Medical Oncology Services, Usha Sree Chamarthy, MD.
All chemotherapy can now be done on-site at Carson Hospital, with radiation oncology offered at Sparrow. Oncological surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and drug therapies are the best treatments for cancer.
"We have a wonderful staff here, and we all focus on giving each patient the compassion and understanding we’d expect for our own loved ones," said Nancy Seals, RN, BSN.
Carson Health’s Outpatient Therapy Center focuses on much more than chemotherapy services. "We often work with physicians to provide IV therapy for patients with health issues such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn’s disease," said Seals.
The Outpatient Therapy Center also provides PICC line placements, conscious sedation recovery, blood transfusions, IV iron therapy, IV hydration therapy, antibiotic/steroid therapy, IV medications for diseases such as osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, immune deficiency and much more.
Any of these therapies can be ordered by any physician or specialist, regardless of where that physician’s office is located and regardless of whether or not they are on staff at Carson Health.
